As well as this they are high in Omega 3 fatty acids, even more-so than salmon.

Pomegranates are one of the most underrated fruits today. Although they have been consumed for thousands of years, scientists have only began learn about the health benefits they offer. Pomegranates are a great antioxidants.  Pomegranates get their color from the polyphenols which are strong antioxidants.
