Vegans Live Longer
Those on a plant based diet are considered to live longer. A study has found that Vegans have lower death rates than those who eat meat.
The study was published in the JAMA Internal Medicine Journal. The study was led by scientists at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After monitoring 130,000 people over the span of 30 years, they found that every 3 per cent increase in calories from plant protein was found to reduce risk of death by 10 per cent.

We Help The Environment
The livestock industry contributes to 14.5 percent of global greenhouse emissions according to the Food and Agriculture Organisation. Going Vegan helps reduce the demand for these. Growing fruit's and vegetables requires less energy and water.
A Vegan lifestyle conserves water. Water scarcity is an ongoing crisis in most developing countries. Livestock consume more fresh water than anything, water which could given to the 2.5 billion people who do not have access to clean water.
Consuming animal based fats have links to various arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and high cholesterol. Highly processed foods such as ready made meals have also been classed as group 1 carcinogens which lead to development of cancer.
A vegan based diet on the other hand, has all the requirements for a healthy lifestyle. Common traits among vegans include, healthy skin, healthier heart or lower BMI, improved kidney function and protection against certain cancers.
Support Animal Welfare
Philosopher Carl Cohen stated, “If animals have any rights, they must have the right not to be killed to advance the interest of others.”
Humans have free will and intelligence far greater than any other species. Does this make our lives superior to any other living being? Veganism is all about the sanctity of life. Through the lifestyle we are completely removing anything that is related to the cruelty of animals. The little decisions we make such as not wearing wool or checking our make-up for animal testing supports the welfare of animals and encourages businesses to change their practices.
We Are Happier
Everyday we choose to stay vegan, we live with the idea that we are doing positive in the world. It makes us feel closer to nature. This way of life is the reason most people choose to stay vegan. A great healthy diet means that we embody positive and healthy minds.
